Franz Haas Pinot Nero 2021

The 2021 Franz Haas Pinot Nero is a refined red wine, considered by the producer as “the white among reds” for its lightness and harmonic freshness. Its color varies from light ruby to deep ruby, and the bouquet opens with maraschino cherries, raspberries, and marzipan, evolving into plum jam, cloves, cinnamon, and subtle forest aromas.

Grapes are grown on diverse soils at altitudes between 350 and 900 meters, with high-density plantings and selected low-yield clones that ensure aromatic concentration and quality consistency. Vinification takes place in open tanks, with frequent remontage and punch-downs to extract color and aromas. The wine then matures for one year in barriques, developing structure and smoothness, and completes bottle aging before release.

The Pinot Nero 2021 pairs beautifully with light fish dishes, roasted game, and red meats. It combines elegance, freshness, and complexity, making it a Pinot Noir with a distinctive character.
