The Alsace Edelzwicker Réserve 2022 from Fernand Engel is a vibrant and harmonious white wine that showcases the unique tradition of Edelzwicker blends in Alsace. Unlike the monovarietal culture typical of the region, this cuvée brings together four of its most emblematic grapes: Riesling (50%), Muscat d’Alsace (20%), Sylvaner (15%), and Pinot Blanc (15%). The predominance of Riesling provides freshness, aromatic intensity, and mineral depth, while the other varietals add roundness, fruitiness, and floral nuances.
In the glass, it displays a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it reveals an expressive bouquet of white flowers, citrus, pear, and peach, evolving towards subtle hints of minerality.
