Monfortino is the most important Barolo of the Langhe, probably the best fine red wine in Italy and certainly one of the first in the world. It is produced by the Cantina Giacomo Conterno only in the best vintages, with a selection of grapes from the historic cru France. It is vinified in wood and aged for more than six years in large barrels.
