Franz Haas Sauvignon 2020
The Franz Haas Sauvignon 2020 shows a pale yellow color with greenish reflections, reflecting freshness and vitality. Its aromatic profile is rich and complex, with notes of elderflower, white peach, dried fruits, and subtle oriental hints, evolving gracefully on the nose. On the palate, it presents lively acidity, minerality, and sapidity, with a persistent and harmonious finish, ideal for lovers of refined and complex white wines.
Grapes grow on Dolomite-derived soils facing south-southwest, between 400 and 800 meters in altitude, trained using the Guyot system to ensure optimal ripening. After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, following a brief cold maceration. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and fruit, and partly in barriques, enhancing structure and complexity. The wine then matures for about eight months on fine lees, integrating aromas and texture.
The 2020 Sauvignon pairs beautifully with tuna tartare, vitello tonnato, white meats, and lightly spiced Asian dishes, while also encouraging culinary experimentation. A white wine of elegance, complexity, and distinctive character, perfect for special occasions or to impress discerning guests.
