Erbaluce di Caluso “Sessanta” 2021 Cantina della Serra
The Erbaluce di Caluso “Sessanta” 2021 is a tribute to the 60th anniversary of Cantina della Serra, a winery deeply rooted in the Canavese area of Piedmont. Created from the finest Erbaluce grapes, this wine embodies the essence of the territory and the passion that has guided the winery for decades.
The grapes, grown mainly with the pergola system (90%) and partly with espalier training, are hand-harvested at the end of September. After a gentle pressing with light maceration, only the best musts are fermented at controlled temperatures to preserve purity and freshness. The wine then matures for 18 months total — 12 in stainless steel tanks with frequent lees stirring and 6 months in bottle, achieving depth and balance.
Its appearance is bright straw-yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, it reveals sweet citrus nuances, hints of medicinal herbs, and delicate floral undertones. The palate is fresh and soft, with fine minerality and a lingering finish that mirrors the unique Canavese terroir.
“Sessanta” stands out for its refined complexity and harmony, representing both the legacy and the forward-looking spirit of the Cantina della Serra. A perfect pairing with flavorful or slightly spicy dishes, risottos, or aged cheeses, this wine offers a modern, elegant interpretation of Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG.
