The Erbaluce di Caluso 2022 by Cantina della Serra is a white wine that captures the authentic character of Piedmont’s Canavese area, the historic homeland of the native Erbaluce grape. Grown on pergola and espalier-trained vines, these grapes benefit from the unique microclimate and mineral-rich moraine soils surrounding Caluso, giving life to a wine that is both vibrant and refined.
Harvested in mid-September, the grapes are gently pressed, and the must undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve its fresh aromatic profile. The wine then ages six months in stainless steel and one month in the bottle, enhancing its purity and balance.
In the glass, it displays a crystalline straw-yellow hue with green highlights. The nose opens with elegant notes of white flowers, elderflower, green apple, and bergamot, followed by a crisp and mineral-driven palate.
