The Pinot Grigio from Abbazia di Novacella is a textbook example of alpine white winemaking. Grown at elevations between 600 and 750 meters a.s.l. in the steep hills of the Isarco Valley, the grapes thrive in the cool, mineral-rich environment of northern South Tyrol.
Hand-harvested and vinified in stainless steel only, this Pinot Grigio is all about purity and freshness. It’s a wine designed to highlight the natural crispness and varietal clarity of the grape, with a clean and food-friendly profile.
Pale straw yellow in color, it opens on the nose with green apple, wild flowers, alpine herbs, and a hint of citrus zest. The palate is dry, bright, and mineral, with excellent balance and a refreshing finish. Ideal for appetizers, vegetarian dishes, salads, white meats, and grilled vegetables.
