Ferrando Canavese Rosso 2021
The Ferrando Canavese Rosso 2021 embodies the authentic character of northern Piedmont’s terroir. Crafted from a blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Neretta, this red wine reveals the harmony between fruit intensity and structural finesse. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, it maintains a vivid freshness and pure varietal expression, while gentle maturation rounds out the tannins and enhances texture.
In the glass, it shines with a brilliant ruby red hue. The bouquet is expressive and layered, offering notes of cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry, followed by delicate hints of violet, white pepper, and light tobacco. On the palate, it is lively and balanced, with crisp acidity complementing a soft, juicy core. The tannins are smooth and velvety, leading to a persistent and graceful finish.
This wine perfectly reflects the philosophy of Luigi Ferrando, one of the most respected names in the Canavese region, who has long championed the local varieties and their distinctive character. The Canavese Rosso 2021 is an excellent match for traditional Piedmontese appetizers, meat-based pasta dishes, roasted poultry, or semi-aged cheeses, offering both drinkability and depth in equal measure.
