Dogliani Sorì dij But 2022 by Anna Maria Abbona is the most authentic, immediate, and convivial expression of Dolcetto di Dogliani DOCG. It comes from a selection of vineyards with approximately 50-year-old vines, trained using the guyot system on clay and calcareous marl soils at altitudes between 490 and 530 meters, with exposures ranging from east to south and west. These conditions naturally balance freshness, structure, and aromatic richness.
Harvested by hand into ventilated crates after September 20th, the grapes are carefully selected before undergoing traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks. Maturation also takes place entirely in steel to preserve the Dolcetto’s fruity fragrance and varietal purity.
In the glass, Sorì dij But 2022 displays a bright ruby color with violet highlights. The bouquet is rich in cherry, blackberry, and blueberry notes, enhanced by subtle floral hints and light spice. On the palate, it is lively, fresh, and juicy, with soft tannins and a savory finish that makes it irresistibly drinkable. A young, typical Dolcetto, perfect for immediate enjoyment alongside Piedmontese cuisine or casual gatherings, yet with the potential to surprise after a few years of cellaring.
