CUVÉE XV Bardolino Classico 2021 Guerrieri Rizzardi
The Bardolino Classico Cuvée XV 2021 by Guerrieri Rizzardi is one of the most renowned Venetian red wines, known for its freshness, elegance and versatility. It comes from estate vineyards located in some of the best hillsides of the Bardolino Classico DOC, between Bardolino and Cavaion Veronese. The soils are of glacial moraine origin, rich in gravel and minerals, overlooking Lake Garda, an area with a Mediterranean climate also called the “Riviera degli Olivi”. This unique terroir imparts aromatic intensity, freshness and a distinctive style to the wine.
The name “Cuvée XV” recalls the 15th century, when the Guerrieri Rizzardi family established the estate. It is obtained from a selection of the best vinifications, using Corvina, Merlot, Ancellotta and Rondinella grapes, harvested by hand or machine depending on the vineyard. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation, the wine is refined for 3 to 12 months in steel and cement vats, preserving the fruity character and vibrant freshness.
In the glass, it has a bright ruby-red color. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of cherries, raspberries and fresh red fruits, complemented by floral hints. On the palate, it is smooth, savory and well-balanced, with a lively and refreshing finish. A true expression of Bardolino Classico DOC, it is ideal with vegetarian dishes, white meats such as chicken, turkey, rabbit or pork, as well as mozzarella, fresh cow’s cheeses or even Asian dim sum.
With a short aging potential of about 2 years, Bardolino Cuvée XV 2021 is best enjoyed young to fully appreciate its vibrancy and drinkability, making it a versatile wine for everyday meals and convivial moments.
