Vista Mare 2022 Ca’ Marcanda – Gaja
Vista Mare 2022 is the signature white wine from Ca’ Marcanda, the Bolgheri estate of Angelo Gaja, nestled along the Tuscan coast. Its name – “sea view” – reflects both the scenic vineyards overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the wine’s bright, saline, Mediterranean soul.
A blend of Vermentino and Viognier, this wine unites freshness with complexity: Vermentino brings lively acidity and minerality, while Viognier adds texture, floral aromas, and stone fruit notes. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified separately in stainless steel and large neutral barrels, preserving their varietal character and enhancing the wine’s elegance.
In the glass, Vista Mare 2022 shines with a brilliant straw yellow hue. The nose reveals citrus zest, peach, wild herbs and sea breeze notes. The palate is crisp yet creamy, with a vibrant saline streak that lingers on the finish.
