Palazzi Rosso 2019 is one of the most iconic wines from Tenuta di Trinoro, the visionary project of Andrea Franchetti, who transformed a hidden corner of Val d’Orcia into a sanctuary for world-class red wines. Crafted exclusively from 100% Merlot grown on high-altitude vineyards at 600 meters, it reflects both the richness of the soil and the finesse of artisanal winemaking.
The 2019 vintage is considered one of the finest in recent years, offering perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. Fermented with great care and aged for 8 months in French oak barriques, followed by 10 months in bottle, this Merlot is a wine of structure, soul, and longevity.
In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and luxurious, with aromas of dark plum, black cherry, licorice, graphite, sweet tobacco, and balsamic herbs. On the palate, it is layered and silky, with superb texture, polished tannins, and a long, elegant finish.
