Rossese di Dolceacqua DOC “Curli” 2024 Maccario Dringenberg
The Rossese di Dolceacqua “Curli” 2024 originates from the historic Curli vineyard in Perinaldo, Val Verbone, at 350 meters above sea level with western exposure and calcareous soils. Recognized as one of the most prestigious sites within the appellation, Curli gained prominence thanks to influential wine figures such as Emilio Croesi and Luigi Veronelli.
Vines are trained in traditional Provençal bush system at a density of 4,500 plants per hectare, with some exceeding 80 years of age, contributing to exceptional concentration and structural depth.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at around 27°C, followed by two weeks of skin maceration with pump-overs and délestage. Malolactic fermentation and ageing occur in stainless steel, preserving varietal precision and terroir transparency.
Compared to other Rossese wines, Curli stands out for its higher anthocyanin concentration, deeper color and greater tannic mass. Aromas reveal dark berries, blueberry, myrtle, juniper and floral notes of violet and iris. On the palate it is fresh, saline and structured, with impressive ageing potential and strong territorial identity.
