Vino Rosso “Recetto” Alberand
The Recetto Red Wine by Alberand is a refined and authentic expression of the Canavese area, in Piedmont, where winemaking tradition meets local history. Its name recalls the ancient fortified gate of Salassa’s Recetto, a symbol of strength and identity reflected in this bold yet elegant red wine.
Made from a single red grape variety, the vineyards are located at 350 meters above sea level, facing south and southeast. The soils are alluvial and rich in clay and silt, providing the ideal conditions for structure and aromatic depth. The vines, ranging from 3 to 60 years old, are trained using the Guyot and Aeroplano systems, and the harvest is carried out manually at the end of September.
Vinification involves 70% destemming and 30% whole clusters, enhancing aromatic complexity and freshness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with selected yeasts, followed by 18 months of ageing in second and third-use barriques, and a further 6 months of bottle refinement, to ensure balance and harmony.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with violet reflections. The bouquet is intense and enveloping, with ripe red fruit, cherry in spirits, tobacco and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it’s structured yet balanced, with lively acidity and silky tannins leading to a persistent finish of red fruit and cocoa.
Elegant, expressive and true to its land, the Recetto by Alberand is a modern interpretation of Piedmont’s winemaking soul, ideal with aged cheeses, rich first courses and grilled meats.
