Langhe DOC Rosso 2019 Valdinera
The Langhe DOC Rosso 2019 from Valdinera is a genuine expression of the Langhe terroir, produced in Corneliano d’Alba from the historic Vigna Cà Rusa. This wine blends Barbera, Nebbiolo and Merlot, combining structure, fruit intensity and smoothness in a harmonious and approachable style.
The vineyards, planted in 1980, lie on hillsides at 350 meters above sea level, on marine-origin clay-rich soils, ideal for balanced ripening. Grapes are hand-harvested in the second half of October. Vinification includes soft pressing and temperature-controlled maceration in stainless steel, followed by 12 months of ageing in 500-liter tonneaux, and further bottle ageing.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red color. Aromas of blackberry and wild plum lead to a dry, smooth palate with soft tannins and a clean, elegant finish. Perfect with red meats and game dishes, this Langhe Rosso offers both character and versatility, reflecting Valdinera’s authentic winemaking philosophy.
