Vermentino 2022 Lupi
The Vermentino 2022 by Lupi is a Riviera Ligure di Ponente D.O.C. white wine that perfectly expresses the Ligurian identity — a region balanced between sea breeze and mountain slopes. Founded in 1961 by Tommaso Lupi, the winery was among the first to bottle and promote Pigato and Vermentino, helping establish the D.O.C. designation.
The Vermentino grapes come from south-east facing hills in the Imperia area, where sandy and silty soils enhance aromatic richness and minerality. Vinified in white with controlled-temperature fermentation and aged four months in steel and two in bottle, this wine preserves a vibrant freshness and refined balance.
In the glass, it shines with a bright straw yellow color with greenish highlights. The bouquet opens with Mediterranean herbs, citrus and exotic fruit, enriched by subtle floral undertones. On the palate, it’s smooth, savory, and well-balanced, with a lingering mineral finish that reflects its maritime origin.
A refined, expressive Vermentino, ideal with seafood starters, grilled fish, shellfish, or Mediterranean dishes, and perfect as an elegant aperitif by the sea.
