Soave Classico “Vigneti di Foscarino” 2021 Inama
The Soave Classico “Vigneti di Foscarino” by Inama is a refined and expressive interpretation of one of Italy’s most historic white wines. Sourced from 40-year-old vines planted on volcanic basaltic soils, it reveals the mineral soul and depth of Garganega, the iconic grape of Soave. Inama’s philosophy is rooted in “minimalist winemaking”, a respectful approach that lets the land and grape speak for themselves.
Harvesting is done by hand from about 10 hectares of selected vineyards on the Foscarino hills. After gentle destemming and crushing, the must remains in contact with the skins for several hours, enhancing aroma and texture. Fermentation takes place one-third in stainless steel, one-third in large oak barrels, and one-third in new and used barriques, followed by six months of regular bâtonnage and another six months of aging in steel.
In the glass, it shows a bright golden hue. The bouquet is layered with honey, chamomile, wildflowers, elderflower, and iris, all framed by a subtle mineral undertone. The palate is silky and persistent, balancing freshness and roundness with a lingering sweet almond finish.
Ideal with refined seafood dishes, shellfish, or soft cheeses, but also perfect on its own as a contemplative wine. The Soave Classico “Vigneti di Foscarino” encapsulates the essence of volcanic Soave and the elegant craftsmanship of Inama.
