Rossese di Dolceacqua DOC “Luvaira” 2024 Maccario Dringenberg
The Rossese di Dolceacqua “Luvaira” 2024 originates from a 15,000 sqm vineyard in Val Nervia at 350 meters above sea level with western exposure and sedimentary soils rich in clay. This soil composition contributes to greater depth and structure compared to other crus of the appellation.
Vines are trained in traditional Provençal bush system at a density of 4,500 plants per hectare, with part of the vineyard exceeding 120 years of age. These old vines ensure concentration, balance and strong territorial expression.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at around 27°C, with approximately two weeks of skin maceration supported by pump-overs and délestage. Malolactic fermentation and ageing occur in stainless steel, preserving freshness and varietal clarity.
On the nose it reveals intense aromas of marasca cherry, citrus and refined spices. The palate combines structure and vibrant acidity, with pronounced salinity and elegant tannins. A distinctive and age-worthy Rossese, expressing the unique character of the Luvaira cru.
