Bourgogne Aligoté “Mallon” 2023 Claire Naudin
Bourgogne Aligoté “Mallon” is an exceptional white wine crafted by Claire Naudin, one of Burgundy’s most independent and forward-thinking winemakers. Sourced from the “Mallon” vineyard in Magny-lès-Villers, at the edge of the Côte de Nuits and close to the Côte de Beaune, this Aligoté reflects altitude, limestone-rich soils, and artisanal care.
Claire’s farming philosophy is rooted in biodiversity and environmental respect — no herbicides, no chemical pesticides, and minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar. The grapes ferment spontaneously, and the wine is aged in stainless steel and neutral barrels to preserve the variety’s raw character.
The result is a lively and precise Aligoté: aromas of lemon zest, green apple, chalk, wildflowers and wet stone lead into a mouthwatering, linear palate. Bracing acidity and salty minerality make it irresistibly drinkable, yet there’s depth and texture behind its freshness.
“Mallon” is a white Burgundy for the purists — energetic, honest and built on terroir. Ideal for seafood, goat cheese, or enjoying as a sophisticated aperitif.
