Puligny-Montrachet 2020 Joseph Drouhin
Puligny-Montrachet 2020 by Joseph Drouhin is a benchmark white Burgundy, crafted from Chardonnay grown in one of the most esteemed villages of the Côte de Beaune.
The vineyards lie on limestone-rich soils that impart tension and minerality. Cultivated following biodynamic principles and vinified with meticulous care, the wine is aged in French oak barrels (20–25% new) for about 12 months, gaining finesse and complexity.
In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden yellow hue. The nose is elegant and layered, with white flowers, citrus peel, white peach, almond and flinty minerality. On the palate, it’s both creamy and vibrant, with precise acidity, a refined saline finish and remarkable persistence.
A wine with great aging potential, perfect with shellfish, scallops, poultry in cream sauce, mushroom dishes and soft cheeses.
