Blanquette de Limoux Brut “Cuvée Reservée” Maison Guinot
The Blanquette de Limoux “Cuvée Reservée” Brut is one of the most authentic expressions of the oldest sparkling wine in France, produced using the Traditional Method with bottle fermentation. Maison Guinot, active for over 140 years, carefully preserves this historic wine, whose origins date back to 1531, well before the invention of Champagne.
Made from the Mauzac grape, typical of the Roussillon region, this sparkling wine is known for its freshness and aromatic finesse. After secondary fermentation in the bottle, the cuvée matures on the lees for about 9 months, developing delicate aromas while retaining vibrant varietal notes.
In the glass, it shows a pale and luminous yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is delicate, floral and fruity, with hints of white flowers, apple and fresh fruit, complemented by subtle notes of baked bread. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and fruity, with lively acidity and a pleasantly citrusy finish.
This Brut is perfect for aperitifs, starters, seafood dishes, and informal celebrations. Its approachable style and joyful character make it suitable for any occasion.
