Alta Langa Oudeis Rosé 2019 Enrico Serafino
Produced from hand-selected Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards in Trezzo Tinella, Loazzolo, Vesime, and Bubbio, trained with the Guyot system on clay-calcareous soils at 300 to 550 meters altitude, the Alta Langa Oudeis Rosé 2019 undergoes a short maceration in an inert environment to extract a delicate rosé color using the saignée method.
The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures and ages for 6 months on lees with bâtonnage.
The secondary fermentation follows the traditional method, with at least 36 months of lees aging and four disgorgements per vintage. The dosage liqueur is prepared with reserve wines and 7 g/L of sugar, without any spirits, ensuring a clean, balanced dosage.
In the glass, it shows a bright rosé color with onion skin hues and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose reveals a complex and crunchy bouquet of strawberry, red currant, wildflowers, cotton candy, and bread crust. On the palate, it is fruity, dry, multifaceted, and elegant, with a long mineral finish that completes its structure.
Oudeis, meaning “no one” in Greek, emphasizes that the wine’s true complexity comes solely from the terroir. This sparkling wine perfectly balances elegance, freshness, and character, captivating from the very first glance.
Ideal as an aperitif and paired with cold cuts, ham, seafood, and shellfish, the Alta Langa Oudeis Rosé 2019 offers an exciting experience of Piedmont’s sparkling tradition.
