Nebbiolo Ramale 2018 Torraccia del Piantavigna
Nebbiolo Ramale 2018 from Torraccia del Piantavigna is a pure and accessible expression of Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte. Sourced from vineyards between Ghemme and Gattinara, it reflects the varietal’s finesse with a more youthful and easy-drinking style.
“Ramale” evokes the branches of the vine, but also the winery’s rooted philosophy: minimal intervention, craftsmanship, and respect for nature. After manual harvest and fermentation with native yeasts, the wine is aged for 18 months in large oak casks, followed by bottle aging.
In the glass, it shows bright ruby hues. The nose is vibrant and aromatic, with notes of wild rose, red cherry, light spice and forest floor. On the palate, it is fresh and lithe, with soft tannins, lively acidity and a clean, mineral finish.
A versatile, everyday Nebbiolo that pairs beautifully with charcuterie, white meats, pastas with ragù, mushroom risotto, and semi-aged cheeses.
