Pinot Nero Riserva Monticol 2021 Terlano
Monticol Pinot Noir Riserva from Cantina Terlano is one of Alto Adige’s most refined interpretations of this noble grape, grown at 400–900 meters on well-exposed, breezy slopes.
Low yields and careful cellar work lead to a wine of fragrant finesse, freshness and complexity. After fermentation in steel tanks, it ages for 12 months in barriques and tonneaux, followed by 6 months in bottle.
It appears bright ruby red in the glass. The bouquet is elegant and layered with raspberry, cherry and pomegranate, enriched by sweet spices, vanilla and a touch of toast. On the palate, it is silky, balanced and persistent, with fine tannins and mineral tension.
Excellent with red meats, duck, lamb, game birds, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
