Merlot Riserva Siebeneich 2019 Terlano
Siebeneich Merlot Riserva from Cantina Terlano is a refined and powerful red grown in deep clay-rich soils in the Siebeneich area, southwest of Terlano—an ideal site for Bordeaux varietals in Alto Adige.
Harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel, the wine matures for 12 months in barriques and tonneaux, followed by 6 months in bottle, resulting in a wine of depth, structure and elegance.
It shows a deep ruby red color and reveals aromas of blackberry, plum and dark cherry, with sweet spice, tobacco, cocoa and vanilla. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and silky, with smooth tannins, and a long, mineral and balsamic finish.
Excellent with roast meats, braised dishes, game and aged cheeses.
