The Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022 Domaine Chanson is a quintessential expression of Burgundy’s iconic grape variety, Pinot Noir. Grapes are sourced from selected plots in three renowned sub-regions: Côte Chalonnaise, Hautes Côtes de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Nuits. The 2022 vintage was shaped by unique climatic conditions. A winter with fluctuating temperatures was followed by a mild but dry spring. Summer brought extended heatwaves, offset by timely late August thunderstorms that ensured the grapes reached optimal ripeness and balance. The harvest, carried out between August 30 and September 13, delivered healthy, concentrated fruit of outstanding quality.
In the glass, the Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022 shows a bright ruby-red colour. The nose is expressive and refined, combining fragrant floral notes of peony with ripe red fruit aromas such as raspberry, cherry and wild strawberry, enriched by delicate spicy hints and subtle woody nuances.
On the palate, the wine offers a vivid and energetic attack, supported by a harmonious structure. The tannins are smooth, well-integrated and velvety, enhancing the wine’s elegance. Its long, lingering finish is marked by spicy undertones that bring complexity and depth.
