Müller Thurgau 2019 Pacherhof
The Pacherhof Müller Thurgau 2019 Südtirol Eisacktaler DOC is a white wine that clearly reflects the Valle Isarco’s aptitude for fresh, aromatic, and highly drinkable wines. The vineyards are located near Novacella in the Bressanone basin, at 720 meters above sea level, an ideal environment to preserve aromatic intensity and natural acidity.
The soils, composed of permeable moraine deposits rich in mica schist, paragneiss, and quartzite, ensure excellent drainage and contribute to the wine’s subtle mineral character. The vines, aged between 21 and 36 years and trained in Guyot system, provide good aromatic concentration while maintaining freshness and balance.
Vinification involves a slow fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by about 6 months of aging on fine lees, also in steel. This approach preserves the varietal purity and results in a clean and precise wine.
On the nose, it shows herbal notes, floral hints, and a delicate touch of nutmeg, typical of Müller Thurgau. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and aromatic, with an easy-drinking profile and a clean finish. It has an aging potential of around 5 years, maintaining its vibrancy and fragrance.
Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs well with light appetizers, boiled or grilled fish, fried dishes, and fresh cheeses. A versatile and approachable wine that fully represents the refined, terroir-driven style of Pacherhof.
