Mâcon Village 2023 Domaine Aimé Blouzard
In the heart of the Mâconnais, in the village of Péronne, Domaine Aimé Blouzard under the direction of Rémi Desmaris produces expressive, artisanal Burgundy wines shaped by small vineyard parcels and a deep respect for terroir diversity. The Mâcon Village 2023 is a blend of grapes sourced from three distinct plots, including vines planted in the 1990s and older parcels dating back to 1935, which contribute depth and complexity to the final wine.
Winemaking is kept deliberately simple and focused on purity. Fermentations occur spontaneously using indigenous yeasts, while ageing takes place entirely in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness, aromatic clarity and the natural tension of Chardonnay from the Mâconnais.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright pale straw colour. The nose is clean and expressive, revealing fresh citrus, hawthorn blossom and white flowers, alongside subtle saline and iodised nuances that reflect its mineral backbone.
On the palate it is fresh, linear and tightly structured, driven by vibrant acidity and a pronounced saline character. The texture is smooth yet energetic, with a precise mineral tension that extends through a long, clean and focused finish.
The Mâcon Village 2023 is an accessible yet finely tuned Chardonnay, combining immediacy with depth. It pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, white meats and fresh cheeses, delivering a refined expression of Burgundy’s southern terroir.
