The Pacherhof winery is one of the most authentic and consistent expressions of winemaking in Valle Isarco, an alpine region among the most suitable in Italy for high-quality white wines. Located in Varna, near Bressanone, the estate traces its origins back to a winemaking tradition dating to the 12th century, and is still entirely run by the Hubes family.

Under the guidance of Andreas Hubes, Pacherhof has evolved while preserving a strong territorial identity, combining traditional farming knowledge with modern winemaking techniques. The vineyards cover حوالي 8 hectares on the western slopes of Novacella and Elvas, between 620 and 900 meters above sea level, in a setting marked by significant temperature variations. This key factor enhances aromatic precision, vibrant acidity, and refined fragrance.

The soils, composed of moraine deposits rich in mica schist, paragneiss, and quartzite, provide excellent drainage and contribute to the wines’ distinctive mineral character. The estate focuses primarily on northern white grape varieties that thrive in cool climates, including Riesling, Sylvaner, Kerner, Müller Thurgau, Grüner Veltliner, along with Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio.

Viticulture is carefully managed, with strictly manual harvesting to ensure optimal ripeness. In the cellar, fermentations take place mainly in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to preserve varietal purity, while the use of large wooden casks adds complexity and balance. Aging on fine lees enhances structure, depth, and texture.

Pacherhof’s production is entirely focused on dry white wines, defined by a precise, elegant, and terroir-driven style. These wines clearly express the identity of Valle Isarco, standing out for their freshness, minerality, and aging potential, making the winery a benchmark for premium alpine white wines.
