Exclusively sourced from the Pineau d'Aunis variety, the grapes thrive in the clay and limestone soils of the region, lending the wine distinctive complexity and personality.
The winemaking process is equally remarkable. Grapes undergo whole-cluster fermentation using the carbonic maceration method for seven full days, preserving the grapes' integrity to extract maximum aromas and flavors. Subsequently, the must is pressed and fermented, followed by aging in fiberglass containers.
The end result is an explosive and vibrant wine, with notes of spiced fruit merging into an enveloping bouquet. Les Sucettes à L'Aunis embodies the rebellious spirit of Pineau d'Aunis, inviting an unforgettable sensory experience. Best enjoyed chilled to fully appreciate its liveliness and vitality.
This label, renamed in homage to Serge Gainsbourg's song "Sucettes à l'anis," represents a complete work of art. The label design, curated by Julien's friend, Brice Poil, a renowned tattoo artist, adds a touch of originality and creativity to the overall wine experience.
