Bonarda Vivace “Vaiolet” Monsupello
The Bonarda Vivace “Vaiolet” by Monsupello is a classic expression of Oltrepò Pavese’s winemaking tradition, combining authenticity, drinkability and strong territorial identity. The historic Monsupello winery, established in 1893 and still family-run, is widely recognized for its consistent quality across both premium sparkling wines and everyday labels.
This wine is made from 100% Croatina grapes, sourced from vineyards located in Torricella Verzate, Redavalle and Pietra de’ Giorgi. The vines, around 20 years old and trained using the Guyot system, grow on clay and silt soils, contributing to balance and structure.
The production process includes a cold pre-maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel. The wine then undergoes secondary fermentation in autoclave, preserving freshness and enhancing its light effervescence. A small amount of residual sugar adds roundness and immediate appeal.
In the glass, it shows a deep red color with violet reflections. The nose is floral and fruity, with notes of red berries. On the palate, it is fresh, lively and smooth, supported by a gentle sparkle that makes it highly drinkable.
The Vaiolet Bonarda is extremely versatile at the table, pairing well with cold cuts, traditional dishes, simple meats and pizza. A wine that delivers authenticity, balance and everyday pleasure, making it a reliable choice for any occasion.
