Spumante Metodo Classico Brut Monsupello
The Monsupello Metodo Classico Brut is a classic expression of Oltrepò Pavese sparkling wine tradition, combining technical precision with a strong sense of place. The historic Monsupello winery, led by the Boatti family since 1893, is widely recognized for producing high-quality traditional method sparkling wines with consistency and character.
This Brut is primarily made from Pinot Noir, the flagship grape of the region, complemented by a small percentage of Chardonnay to enhance finesse and balance. Vineyard management is meticulous, ensuring optimal grape quality. Harvesting is done by hand from mid-August, preserving freshness and natural acidity, essential for the wine’s structure and longevity.
The winemaking process follows strict Metodo Classico principles: gentle pressing, fermentation of the free-run juice in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine then ages on lees for around 30 months, developing its signature complexity and depth.
In the glass, it shows a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. Aromatically, it opens with notes of bread crust, brioche and pastry, supported by fresh and delicate fruity nuances. On the palate, it is structured, vibrant and well-balanced, with lively acidity and a creamy mousse that enhances its persistence.
Highly versatile, the Monsupello Brut is ideal as a refined aperitif or paired with seafood, fish dishes and light cuisine. A sparkling wine that perfectly balances tradition, technique and drinkability, consistently delivering quality and pleasure.
