Alta Langa Brut Nature Riserva 140 Mesi 2009 Enrico Serafino
Produced by Enrico Serafino, the Alta Langa Brut Nature Riserva 140 Months 2009 is the ultimate expression of longevity and complexity in Piedmont’s traditional method sparkling wines. Crafted from 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay grapes grown in Mango, Loazzolo, and Bubbio, the grapes are hand-selected and trained with the Guyot system on clay-calcareous soils at elevations between 450 and 550 meters.
The meticulous winemaking process includes pressing in an inert environment, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and six months of lees aging with bâtonnage to build body and structure.
The secondary fermentation follows the classic method with an extraordinary 140 months (over 11 years) lees aging and a single disgorgement per vintage. No dosage is added, producing a genuine Pas Dosé (Zero Dosage) sparkling wine.
The wine displays a pale straw yellow color with golden reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The complex, broad bouquet reveals notes of candied fruit, honey, toasted hazelnuts, vanilla, and bread crust. On the palate, it is creamy, full-bodied, elegant, and vibrant, with a pleasant acidity and a very long, mineral, and emotional finish.
Ideal as an aperitif and paired with foie gras, caviar, shellfish, and refined dishes, ZERO 140 Riserva PAS DOSÉ is a masterpiece from Alta Langa that powerfully expresses the unique character of its terroir.
