Tenuta di Trinoro 2017 is the flagship wine of Andrea Franchetti’s iconic Tuscan estate, born in the wild hills of Val d’Orcia. This Right Bank Bordeaux-style blend (mainly Cabernet Franc, with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot) comes from extremely low yields, meticulous vineyard work, and vinification of individual plots.
The 2017 vintage was hot and dry, leading to an early harvest and wines with extraordinary concentration. This vintage of Trinoro is powerful and brooding, yet retains the balance and elegance that define this cult wine. On the nose, it explodes with black fruits, spices, leather, graphite, and tobacco, while the palate is dense, structured, and long-lasting, with beautifully polished tannins.
