Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie Les Gautronnières 2025 Domaine Bonnet-Huteau
Les Gautronnières 2025 from Domaine Bonnet-Huteau is an authentic and distinctly terroir-driven expression of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie, born from a vineyard where geology plays a fundamental role. The cuvée comes from shallow soils composed of green rocks and amphibolites, a distinctive mineral foundation that gives the wine tension, precision and a strong sense of place.
The grape is 100% Melon de Bourgogne, the traditional variety of Muscadet. At Domaine Bonnet-Huteau, it is cultivated through a respectful approach focused on soil health and the natural balance of the vineyard. The estate is certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Biodyvin, with no herbicides or synthetic chemicals used. The soils are ploughed, the vines are trained on three wires and the grapes are harvested by hand.
The same philosophy continues in the cellar. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes, allowing the wine to develop its character with minimal intervention. Ageing on the lees adds texture and depth while preserving the natural freshness and energy of Melon de Bourgogne.
Before bottling, the wine is not fined, a deliberate choice designed to preserve its aromatic character and allow the terroir to express itself as naturally as possible.
The result is a Muscadet with a clear personality: fresh, mineral, tense and saline, combining lightness with remarkable depth. It embodies the particular appeal of great Muscadet, where freshness and minerality translate into extraordinary versatility at the table.
Les Gautronnières offers a contemporary yet deeply respectful interpretation of the appellation, allowing the grape variety, geology and vineyard work to remain at the heart of the wine rather than being masked by cellar techniques.
Produced in approximately 25,000 bottles, it is above all a wine for the table. Its natural affinity with seafood makes it an excellent partner for oysters, shellfish, crustaceans, fish and delicate hors d'oeuvres, where its freshness and mineral character beautifully complement the natural salinity of the ingredients.
