Champagne Heritage Brut Nature Premier Cru Louis Brochet
Champagne Heritage Brut Nature Premier Cru by Louis Brochet reflects a focused and contemporary interpretation of the Montagne de Reims, a region historically defined by Pinot Noir. Based in Écueil, a Premier Cru village, the Brochet family has been cultivating vines for generations, combining technical precision with a deep respect for terroir expression.
The cuvée is composed of 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, complemented by approximately 50% reserve wines, a defining element of the house style. This significant reserve component adds depth, continuity and aromatic memory across vintages, reinforcing the wine’s identity while preserving its clarity.
Vinification includes a six-month period of stabilization and maturation before secondary fermentation, followed by 36 months on the lees. This extended ageing develops complexity and texture while maintaining tension and precision. As a Brut Nature, no dosage is added, allowing the pure expression of fruit, soil and time to define the final profile.
In the glass, the wine shows a fine and persistent mousse. The nose reveals pear, green apple and white stone fruit, layered with subtle hints of honey and vanilla derived from lees ageing. A distinct chalky minerality runs through the bouquet, reflecting the limestone-rich soils of the area.
On the palate it is dry, linear and highly refined. Pinot Noir provides structure and depth, Chardonnay contributes freshness and verticality, while Pinot Meunier adds a soft fruit nuance that rounds the blend. The result is a precise, elegant and tightly structured Champagne, finishing long and saline.
A cuvée that embraces purity as its defining principle, it pairs beautifully with refined seafood dishes, shellfish, delicate raw fish preparations or structured vegetable cuisine, and works equally well as a gastronomic aperitif for those seeking an essential expression of Brut Nature Champagne.
