Spumante Metodo Classico Nature Monsupello
The Monsupello Metodo Classico Nature represents a benchmark expression of Oltrepò Pavese, crafted with precision and a deep respect for terroir. The historic Monsupello winery, led by the Boatti family since 1893, has established itself as a leading name in Italian traditional method sparkling wines, known for consistency and high-quality production.
The wine is sourced from vineyards located in Torricella Verzate and Oliva Gessi, where clay-limestone soils provide structure and a distinctive mineral backbone. Early harvesting in mid-August ensures optimal freshness and acidity, essential for balance and aging potential.
Winemaking follows a meticulous process: gentle whole-cluster pressing, fermentation of the free-run juice in stainless steel, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle with approximately 36 months on lees. As a Brut Nature, no dosage is added, allowing the wine to fully express its intrinsic character.
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is complex and layered, opening with fresh fruit and floral notes, then evolving into bread crust, toasted almond and brioche, complemented by subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, it is precise, creamy and vibrant, driven by refreshing acidity and a long, elegant finish.
Ideal as a sophisticated aperitif or paired with refined dishes, the Monsupello Nature stands out as one of the most compelling examples of Italian Metodo Classico, combining tradition, terroir and technical excellence.
