"Lu Cuntaden" Rosso 2020 Rabasco
The "Lu Cuntaden" Red by Rabasco is an authentic expression of Montepulciano, with a juicy and vital rhythm that reflects the unique character of the wines produced by the renowned Abruzzo winery. The Abruzzo region, with its distinct terroirs and vines that perfectly interpret its nuances, offers some of the deepest interpretations of wine in Italy.
An added value is the presence of talented interpreters, among whom stands out Iole Rabasco, co-owner with her mother Giulia of 9 hectares of vineyard in the municipality of Pianella, a renowned location in the province of Pescara. With the expert support of the winemaker Danilo Marcucci, Iole is able to create wines with great personality, with a precise style that prioritizes drinkability without compromising sensory richness.
The "Lu Cuntaden" is the result of Montepulciano grapes grown exclusively on clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 400 meters in the municipality of Pianella. Respect for biodiversity and the terroir guides the approach in the vineyard, with the elimination of chemicals or synthetics, while in the cellar, spontaneous fermentation without clarification or filtration maintains the authenticity of the wine. After aging in steel tanks for several months, the wine presents itself in the glass with a lively ruby red color.
The intense aromatic profile is characterized by notes of ripe cherry, red fruit, undergrowth, humus, aromatic herbs, and spices. On the palate, the wine reveals a good body, a lively tannic texture, and a succulent mid-palate, with a persistent and pleasantly refreshing finish. The "Lu Cuntaden" represents the essence of everyday pleasure in drinking, an ideal wine to pair with the rich dishes of the Abruzzo culinary tradition.
