Description

Langhe Rosso bricco Appiani 2012 Flavio Roddo

Langhe Rosso Bricco Appiani 2012 is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Flavio Roddolo. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, here in a different version because it is planted with the desire to create a territorial wine from an international variety, always in line with Roddolo's great attachment to the Langhe territory. In fact, it seems that the terroir of Monforte d'Alba is particularly suited to the cultivation of this vine, which best represents its characteristics. Intense garnet red in colour, this Langhe Rosso Bricco Appiani displays a nose of ripe fruit such as plum and blackberry, which is enriched with hints of vegetation and undergrowth as time goes by. The taste is endowed with a nice freshness and acidity, a fine and balanced tannin for a balsamic and persistent finish.

DENOMINATION: Langhe Rosso DOC

FLAVIO RODDOLO

Flavio Roddolo is a wine grower from Monforte d'Alba in the Langhe region of Italy. He is deeply rooted in the land and is convinced that it is the terroir, more than anything else, that determines the character of the wine. Dolcetto is one of his most famous wines, a difficult and less profitable grape but which in his hands expresses itself at sensational levels. Then Nebbiolo, Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon, which give life to bottles of rare authenticity and quality.
