Barbaresco 2020 - Marziano Abbona
Barbaresco 2020 by Marziano Abbona embodies the elegance and authenticity of one of Piedmont’s most prestigious wine regions. Produced from carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes grown on the hills northeast of Alba, near the Tanaro river, it represents the refined side of the Langhe, expressing both power and grace.
After destemming and crushing, fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a long maceration on the skins. The wine then undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation and ages in large oak barrels for a long period, before being blended, lightly filtered and bottled.
In the glass, it shows an intense garnet-red color with ruby reflections that evolve towards orange hues over time. The bouquet is elegant and complex, offering notes of ripe red fruits, dried flowers, sweet spices, and a hint of earthiness. On the palate, it is smooth, round and persistent, with silky tannins and a delicate freshness that enhances drinkability.
A great Barbaresco that combines intensity and finesse, ideal for pairing with roasted meats, game and aged cheeses, but also perfect to enjoy on its own. A timeless expression of Nebbiolo and of the Langhe’s noble soul.
