Le Cupole 2020 by Tenuta di Trinoro is a Supertuscan that expresses the elegance and complexity of Tuscan red wines. Grapes grown on poor soils of calcareous rock and clay at 600 meters altitude are harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve aroma intensity and freshness. Vinification takes place with separate fermentations for each variety before the final blend, and aging in second- and third-passage barriques ensures perfect harmony between fruit and structure.
The nose opens with notes of ripe fruit, cherry, and sour cherry, followed by delicate spicy hints. On the palate, it is lively, dry, warm, with firm yet smooth tannins and a pleasant fruit-driven finish. Thanks to its structure and complexity, Le Cupole pairs beautifully with rich first courses like wild boar tagliatelle, roasted or grilled meats, but is equally enjoyable on its own.
