Vosne-Romanee 2019 David Duband
Domaine David Duband's 2019 Vosne-Romanee is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from old, east-facing vineyards about 35 years old from shallow limestone soils. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selected and vinified with 80% whole bunches for about 2 weeks.
After fermentation, the grapes are pressed and the wine is racked 40% into new barrels and 60% into first, second and third passage barrels. After 14 months of ageing, the wines are racked into vats, where they settle for about 3 months before being bottled without filtration or ageing.
David Duband's 2019 Vosne-Romanee expresses a very bright ruby red colour to the eye. The nose offers an intense and complex bouquet of black fruits with notes of sweet spices such as vanilla and blackcurrant jam. The sip is structured with a powerful and long finish.
