The Colli Tortonesi Timorasso DOC Derthona 2021 by La Spinetta is a powerful and elegant white wine made from 100% Timorasso, a historic native grape from Piedmont. Grown in the hills of Montemarzino and Montegioco, this wine is part of the winery’s commitment to reviving forgotten terroirs with modern finesse and precision.
After soft crushing and destemming, fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then rests for 8 months on its fine lees, followed by 3 months of bottle aging to enhance its texture and aromatic depth.
The nose is marked by delicate notes of hydrocarbon, citrus peel, and white flowers. On the palate, it shows remarkable intensity, salinity, and clean persistence, with a long and balanced finish. This is a white wine with serious age-worthiness and a strong territorial identity.
Perfect with refined dishes such as pumpkin flan with fondue or salt cod and potato salad. With an average production of 15,000 bottles, it stands out as one of Piedmont’s most expressive white wines.
