Sylvaner 2020 Abbazia di Novacella
The Sylvaner 2020 from Abbazia di Novacella is a white wine that reflects the unique terroir of the Isarco Valley in Alto Adige. Originally from Germany, the Sylvaner grape thrives in these high-altitude vineyards thanks to the cool mountain climate, moraine-rich soils, and significant day-night temperature variation.
The grapes are grown at altitudes between 600 and 800 meters a.s.l., where they develop bright acidity and aromatic complexity. Vinification is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine’s vibrant aromas and clean profile.
In the glass, it shows a brilliant straw-yellow color. On the nose, it reveals fresh notes of alpine herbs, green apple, white flowers, pear, and a hint of citrus zest. The palate is dry, linear, and refreshing, with a crisp minerality and a clean, lingering finish.
A perfect wine for aperitifs, light vegetarian dishes, mountain cuisine, fresh cheeses, asparagus, or delicate fish preparations.
