Roero DOCG 2018 Malvirà
The Roero DOCG 2018 by Malvirà is a red wine of great purity and terroir expression, crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown on the sandy slopes of the Roero area in Canale. Certified organic since 2017, it embodies the Damonte family’s philosophy of producing wines that truly reflect their land.
Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal aromas, followed by maturation in wooden barrels to soften the tannins and add delicate spicy and vanilla notes. After a further rest in bottle, the wine shows a ruby-red color with orange reflections, hinting at complexity and maturity.
On the nose, it offers violet, raspberry, strawberry, and blackcurrant aromas, with subtle undertones of vanilla and balsamic hints. The palate is elegant, persistent, and finely tannic, supported by a balanced freshness that enhances its long and graceful finish.
Ideal with pasta dishes, roasted or grilled meats, fondue bourguignonne, and medium-aged cheeses, the Roero DOCG 2018 by Malvirà perfectly showcases the refined side of Nebbiolo from the left bank of the Tanaro River.
