List of products by brand LA MASERA

La Masera is a winery nestled among the morainic hills of Canavese, in northern Piedmont. Founded in 2005 by five friends united by a dream — to revive the ancient tradition of Erbaluce Passito — it is now led by entrepreneur Michele Bardus. Overlooking Lake Viverone, the vineyards produce Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG and elegant reds like Nebbiolo and Barbera. Each wine reflects the soul of its land, crafted with respect, passion, and authenticity.

Founded in 2005 by five lifelong friends, La Masera was born from the desire to bring back to life the legendary tradition of Erbaluce Passito, a historic sweet wine that embodies the spirit of Canavese. Located between the villages of Piverone, Viverone and Settimo Rottaro, the estate lies within the morainic amphitheatre of Ivrea — a unique landscape shaped by ancient glaciers, where hills, the Serra ridge and Lake Viverone create a perfect balance of climate and soil.

In 2024, a new chapter began under the leadership of Canavese entrepreneur Michele Bardus, who took over from the founding partners with a clear vision: to enhance the winery’s prestige and expand its presence locally and internationally. The project includes a new cellar and hospitality area overlooking Lake Viverone, surrounded by vineyards that currently extend across 10 hectares, with another 5 soon to be planted.

La Masera’s winemaking philosophy combines respect for tradition with modern precision. The native Erbaluce grape is the protagonist, expressed through three distinctive styles: still, sparkling Metodo Classico, and the renowned Passito. Alongside, the estate also crafts elegant Canavese reds such as Nebbiolo and Barbera, embodying the depth and balance of the territory.

The name La Masera refers to the ancient stone walls that define the local landscape and support the terraced vineyards — a symbol of strength and belonging. Each bottle is a testament to the harmony between heritage and innovation, offering wines that tell the authentic story of Canavese and the timeless beauty of Erbaluce di Caluso.
