Il Forestiero 2016 Collecapretta
Il Forestiero 2016 is a natural wine produced by Collecapretta, located in the town of Spoleto, Umbria. It is obtained from a blend of native Umbrian red grape varieties grown in the hills on a clayey espalier soil, a traditional breeding system used by Spoleto's farmers. Produced in total respect of the terroir and traditions, this wine ferments spontaneously with maceration on the skins for 6 days and refines in cement tanks, then bottled without filtration or addition of sulphur dioxide, according to the principles of the lunar cycle. Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, Il Forestiero di Collecapretta is a powerful, elegant red wine with great aging potential, with a bouquet of floral, fruity, herbaceous and truffle notes, together with cocoa and oriental spices. On the palate the evident tannic texture blends harmoniously with the structure of the wine.
