Champagne Le Caractère by Pierre Trichet is a captivating interpretation of the Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs, built on a harmonious 50/50 blend of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir sourced from the prestigious villages of Trois-Puits, Rilly-la-Montagne and Cormontreuil. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for tradition, this cuvée ages 2–3 years on the lees, developing aromatic richness while keeping a vibrant and dynamic profile. After disgorgement, it undergoes a further 6-month rest, allowing the wine to refine its texture and unveil its full expressive depth.
In the glass, it displays a golden hue with pronounced amber reflections, paired with generous, lively bubbles and a delicate mousse. The nose opens with notes of white fruit and brioche meringue, followed by deeper layers of tobacco leaf, violet and bergamot, creating a bouquet that is both elegant and exuberant. On the palate, Le Caractère is mouth-filling, round and irresistibly gourmand: a fresh initial attack gives way to smooth vanilla and biscuit tones, enhanced by flavours of yellow peach and mango that lend warmth, volume and a long, harmonious finish.
