The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Beaux Monts" 2022 from Domaine Bertagna is an exceptional red wine crafted from a small parcel of less than one hectare, nestled between the famed Échezeaux and Richebourg crus in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. The stony, well-drained soil enhances the finesse and concentration of this 100% Pinot Noir.
Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperatures for a minimum of three weeks, followed by aging in French oak barrels—half of them new—for 15 to 18 months.
In the glass, it reveals a deep violet hue. The bouquet is rich with ripe black fruit aromas, which intensify as the wine opens up. On the palate, it is structured, harmonious, and persistent, with fine, integrated tannins. A perfect match for red meats, game, and mushroom-based dishes.
Domaine Bertagna stands among the elite producers in Burgundy, owning 20 hectares of vineyards—12 of which are classified as Premier or Grand Cru—and a legacy that dates back to the Cistercian monks of the 13th century. This wine captures the pure essence of Pinot Noir at its finest.
