Located in Vougeot, Burgundy, Domaine Bertagna stands as a benchmark for excellence in the Côte de Nuits. Established in the 1950s and acquired by the Reh family in 1982, the domaine is now led by Eva Reh, who has brought innovation, sustainability, and a clear vision to the estate.

With 17 hectares of vineyards—12.8 planted with Pinot Noir and 4.2 with Chardonnay—Bertagna crafts some of the region’s most distinguished wines, including 5 Grands Crus, 7 Premiers Crus, and several Village appellations stretching from Gevrey-Chambertin to Aloxe-Corton.

Bertagna’s vineyards lie on complex limestone soils, enriched with iron and clay, and benefit from an ideal climate with well-balanced rainfall and generous sunlight. The estate employs organic and sustainable practices: high-density planting (over 10,000 vines per hectare), zero pesticides, sexual confusion methods for pest control, and "green harvests" to enhance grape quality.

Harvests are entirely manual, ensuring optimal fruit selection. In the cellar, Bertagna adheres to a philosophy of minimal intervention: careful grape sorting, gentle extraction of color and tannins, and fermentation guided by native yeasts. Maturation takes place in French oak barrels (228L), with varying percentages of new oak (30-100%) depending on the cru and vintage. Grands Crus are aged entirely in new oak for over 18 months, while other wines receive a tailored barrel program to balance structure and elegance.
